Squirrel & I stopped to due a little mushroom hunting on the the ride home from work yesterday. Okay, Squirrel was riding, I was just meandering, no hurry, just listening to the musicand this time it's not in my head

Nice ride to downtown to catch a bus to Ankeny, Squirrel rode to work and as I was unloading bike from Bus he rode by on he's way in...... sliding out a little early today, riding home, a little mushroom hunting (Jim hasn't been out with new venture coming together) figure I can find a few to drop of at his house.....

Went out for ride Saturday on old Schwinn that I turned into a single speed last year, rode to see Spiderman 3, then was riding down to Sully's for beer when i heard my name being yelled, Squirrel, his Wife Teri, and Steve was just getting back to Teri & Squirrel house from a ride

Ordered new bike yesterday, went with complete Cross-Check bike from Surly. going to build it with parts from Schwinn that became single speed last fall, Ultagra group on it from 05, not many miles on parts

Unadventful Weekend

Not much went on last weekend, did work on quitting smoking again, 3 cigarettes Friday till Monday, stopped at Sully's had a few cigarettes there.

Slid out of work yesterday at 9:30 to do a little hunting, supervisor was thought you wasn't leaving till 10 as he chased us out the building.

Squirrel was tagged by a car Monday on way home from work, only about a mile into ride home, didn't ride that day, drove, was a couple cars back when it happened, hung around waited for police, loaded up bike and gave him a ride home. told him if he wanted a ride home he could have asked didn't have to get hit.

Commute

Riding home from Ankeny yesterday, didn't stop at O'Malley's was only couple miles into ride, Casey's for a tallboy while hunting shrooms, thought okay ride into downtown to bar a Ragbrai rider owned, IT WAS under new OWNERS and CLOSED........ no Beer till West Des Moines, stopped at walking bridge over Raccoon river for smoke, Jeff called he had flat and wrong tube with him, needed me to head home pick up truck to get him. After that we stopped at shop so he could pick up his Long Haul Trucker, headed to Taco ride, beer and back to 5th st. pub for BEER and 1.50 tacos

Sound System

Amp for bicycle showed up yesterday, eight batteries and normal stereo speaker wiring to amp it was blasting out good tunes... The 3.5 inch speakers due a good job with 10 amps per side, looking for a couple small indoor/outdoor for sound and I should have a nice sounding system on my bicycle.........

Shrooms

Got a GREAT recipe for shrooms.... clean (DO NOT CUT) shrooms, then fill with a mixture of cream cheese, jalapinos, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. (fill shroom by adding mixture to a zip lock baggie and cut off the corner of the bag and use it like a pastry frosting bag to fill the body of the shroom)-then roll in egg and then flour. Put a toothpick down thru the stem to pinch it closed-fry in deep fat fryer till golden brown and enjoy!!!

Sound System

Working on a new sound system for bicycle, needs to be loud enough for others to hear and lightwieght.......... could buy one that's allready built in bag, sound just not loud enough

St Patty's Day

Was a good St. Pat's day worked at Sully's added another 180. towards new bike, should be able to order it in April

March Madness

looking at a new bike instead of Computer right now, found one not sure what it's going to cost........ Working again at Sully's for St. Patty's day should make a nice chunk of change towards bike....

younest daughters' birthday on the 30th, gradutes in May...... 'bout done with Child Support.

Cranksgiving

Finished in the 40's on the cranksgiving race, thought I would be dead last. good time I need to get computer to down load photo's and update more often.
